REALLY ENJOYED THIS CLASS

I have really enjoyed this class!! I really love learning the language and Madame Kharoufeh is an amazing teacher. As a junior my schedule stays pretty busy, so sometimes I can’t give my full energy to this class, however, I have really enjoyed it and am so excited to take French 2 next fall!!

I liked the class environment and the textbook itself was awesome too. I appreciated the class breakout rooms when we spoke French. It helped me see what I need to work on as well. 

MAKES SURE EVERYBODY IS HEARD

I like how Madame Kharoufeh makes sure everybody is heard. I like how her slides are easy to track with, and I like the assignments we work on in class.

Spanish I – GROUP 3 – ALMOST FULL

In this introduction to Spanish, students will learn to ask and answer questions, give and follow directions, talk about their families, express their likes and dislikes, order food in a restaurant, make invitations, and even begin to share the Gospel through Scripture memorization. In addition, we will explore a variety of Spanish-speaking cultures and a bit of the history and geography of the 20+ countries in which Spanish is spoken.

Learning Spanish is a skill-based activity much like learning to play a sport or a musical instrument. As a result, this course will be very interactive. Each class period, students will engage with the instructor and their fellow classmates in games and activities that develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities. In order to fully participate, each student must come to class with a headset microphone.

Each week, homework will be assigned to reinforce the topics covered in class. In addition to the textbook activities, practice exercises include online exploration and grammar drills, Quizlet flashcards, videos, audio activities and mini-compositions. Assessments include tests, quizzes, and oral evaluations.
